All dogs and cats are in danger of contracting rabies through contact with animals including bats and skunks. It is a Sacramento County regulation that all dogs and cats over four months of age be vaccinated for rabies and licensed. It only takes a few hours a year to keep your pets safe and help control rabies. Did you know that cats can contract and spread rabies too?
We hold public clinics for cats and dogs at our Sacramento Shelter and in Folsom. These are first -come, first - serve, no appointment necessary:
Only vaccination for rabies are offered - Dogs and cats only
Dog and cat licenses may be purchased - cash or check acceptable
All dogs must be on leashes - all cats must be in carriers
Microchips also available at $20 each
Sacramento Low Cost Rabies Clinics The first Wednesday of each month at the Sacramento County Animal Shelter. View 08-09 schedule. Note, as we continue to adjust to our new facility, the November and December clinics will not be held. Stay tuned for the 2010 schedule.
