About Rabies Clinics

All dogs and cats are in danger of contracting rabies through contact with animals including bats and skunks. Did you know that cats can contract and spread rabies too?

It is a Sacramento County regulation that all dogs and cats over four months of age be vaccinated for rabies and licensed. It only takes a few hours a year to keep your pets safe and help control rabies.

We hold public clinics for cats and dogs at our Shelter. These are first -come, first - serve, no appointment necessary:

  • Only vaccination for rabies are offered - dogs and cats only
  • Dog and cat licenses may be purchased - cash or check acceptable
  • All dogs must be on leashes - all cats must be in carriers
  • Microchips also available at $20 each
