There Are Many Ways to Help Shelter Animals!
Time:
Your time is the most valuable thing you can give and we need you to help us with our mission, taking care of the animals, raising funds, greeting customers and more! You can work from home or at the Shelter or at off-site events. Visit our Volunteer Opportunities page for more information.
Funds:
Shelter Trust Fund
Yes we want to find homes for the all of the animals! Please help us accomplish this by contributing to our Shelter Trust Fund. Your donation helps us care for animals with special needs that come to our shelter. These include animals that have been hit by vehicles and dropped off at our door, been in fights, been mistreated, or those that have a minor condition that prevents people from wanting to adopt them. These funds stay with our department to help animals get well and find new homes. This fund is not tax deductible.
Click on the Donate now! button and a new window will open with a form to complete your secure donation transaction.
TEAM Fund
Funds can be donated through our 501 (c)(3) non-profit affiliate TEAM; Teaching Everyone that Animals Matter. This long-standing organization helps with education, medical programs, special supplies and much more. They help support medical needs of programs such as LAPCATS (who recently adopted their 700th adult cat) and FUR, Friends of Unwanted Rabbits. Paycheck deductions are available and all donations are tax exempt.
Contact Celeste Ingrid, Volunteer Coordinator for more information at (916) 875-5848 or send an e-mail to CountyAnimalCare@SacCounty.net.
