Through the hard work of a small band of volunteers, almost 700 cats have been adopted from the Laguna Adoption Center located within the PetSmart at 8215 Laguna Boulevard, in Elk Grove.
In partnership with PetSmart, and TEAM, the non-profit support group of our shelter, volunteers started the center in March 2005 and continue to counsel adopters, foster cats until homes are found and educate shoppers about animal issues. They work extra hard to find adult cats new forever homes.
All cats adopted through the LAPCAT program have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, treated for fleas, wormed, tested negative for felv/fiv, have a voucher for a free office visit with a participating vet and get a County license.
