2. Visit the shelter at 3839 Bradshaw Road to look for your pet in person.

3. Visit PetHarbor.com to register your lost pet to receive emails if an area shelter receives a  pet that is similar to yours. PetHarbor.com will also help you link up with people who have found pets to help reunite you with your pet.  Additional resources for pet owners who have lost a pet can be found there.

4. Visit local shelters and check websites every three days to see if your pet has arrived.

5. Complete the Lost Animal Form:  Download and complete the
Lost Animal Report (Word) or the Lost Animal Form, and leave in the Lost Animal Binder in our lobby. To send the form via fax, send to 916-875-5519. You can also e-mail County Animal Care
for a form to be sent to you if you cannot access the forms.

6. Make and Distribute Flyer: Post within a mile radius of where pet was lost, and at veterinary hospitals, grocery stores, schools, laundromats and churches. Include date and place where lost, type and breed of pet and your telephone number. Do not put your name on the flyer.
