You can now renew your pet's current license from the comfort of your home. To pay for the renewals, you may use a VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover Card. There is a small convenience fee to use this service.

Note: we are using an outside vendor for secure online renewals, so the renewal form will open in a new browser window and the website will look different from our web site.  Have your renewal ready as you will be asked for the license and personal ID numbers which are on your renewal postcard.

Please note that we will not mail you a pet license until we receive proof that your pet has a current rabies vaccination administered by a licensed veterinarian. You may fax a copy of your rabies certificate to fax 916-875-5519 (Attention: WEB LIC), or mail a copy to Animal Care, WEB LIC, 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento, CA, 95827 or e-mail  a scanned copy to CountyAnimalCare@saccounty.net, using the subject WEB LIC.

Customers can send their rabies information to the shelter by:

• faxing their rabies certificate with their license number from the certificate to (916) 875-5519
• e-mailing their certificate to CountyAnimalCare@saccounty.net 
• sending via mail to Animal Care and Regulation at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento CA 95827.
