Friends of Unwanted Rabbits Adoption Program (F.U.R.)

Created by a volunteer in 2004, F.U.R brings shelter rabbits to PETSMART stores to increase their chances of adoption. The program is supported by TEAM, the non-profit affiliate of the Shelter, including high quality rabbit cages and medical care.

Volunteers care for the rabbits and carefully counsel potential adoptors about rabbit needs including the best cages to purchase, and time and care required. Since the program's inception, bunny adoptions have doubled!

Rabbits are the third most popular pet in the United States and make wonderful pets - they can even be litter box trained! For more information, please contact Celeste Ingrid, Volunteer Coordinator at 916-875-5848.

High quality items, including new F.U.R. logo apparel and acessories designed by New York artist Cristian Fleming, can be purchased at www.cafepress.com/teamfur. All proceeds are used for spay and neutering, medical care, printing and other expenses.
