Forms of Payment We Accept
We accept Cash, Check, American Express, Discover and Master Card: Visa is not accepted. Credit cards can be used when purchasing miscellaneous simple permits online or when doing business in person.
When paying with a credit card in person the card holder needs to be present with a valid ID. The card holders ID will be checked and verified prior to processing any payments.
Effective March 22, customers using credit cards to purchase Sacramento County services, such as building permits, will be charged a fee of 2.5% of the total transaction cost. As an example, a building permit that costs $100 will run customers an addtional $2.50.
Typical services include encroachment permits, impact fees, maintenance fees, vehicle damage reimbursements and building permits.
Where can I pay my fees ?
Simple Online permits are paid for online when the permit is applied for. Permits that are applied for in person are paid for during the submittal process at one of our four office locations. Plan check and zone check fees are collected at the time of submittal.
Fees for Permits that are applied for in person may be paid online; however, the issuance of the permit would need to occur at one of our four office locations. Fees paid online for a new plan submittal will need to be paid prior to the plan being reviewed in plan check. | |
