Include 2 sets of the following supporting documents:
• Title 24 Energy documents
• Structural calculations (may, depending on the design of the structure)
• Engineering reports (may, depending on the design of the structure)
• Truss calculations (for roofing and flooring, if used)
• Soils report (may need depending on the design of the structure)
Your addition may need to be submitted to the Fire Department depending on the size and scope of work. All New Single Family Homes will need to be submitted to the Fire Department for review.
The current code editions used in Sacramento County are:
• 2010 California Residential Code, 2010 Califirnia Building,Plumbing/Mechanical, Electrical
codes. 2010 California Green Code
• 2008 California Building Energy Efficiency Standards (Title 24)
You will be assigned a case number when you submit your documents to enable tracking the project status online.
Plan review process will begin once plan review and zone check fees are paid.
Adding New Square Footage:
Fees are based on added square foot valuation and any alteration costs to the existing dwelling. This estimated value of your project is established by the National Engineering News and Review Valuation Table.
Alterations / Remodel
For Residential Alterations / Remodels, the contractor’s construction valuation amount will be utilized. A contract for all labor and materials should be provided.
