The County of Sacramento has started a process for citizens of the South Sacramento Community to develop a community vision. The County will work with community leaders to bridge the many civic organizations and residents who can contribute to making our shared vision of the community become a reality. This is a result of the Board of Supervisors approval of the South Sacramento Community Initiative for residents and businesses within the unincorporated area.

The goals are first to work with neighborhoods to assist in improving the physical appearance of neighborhoods and better coordinate County services between departments, as well as between the City and County. Second, the County will work with community members to hear and identify the most important concerns of those who live and work in the unincorporated areas of South Sacramento.
