Located within the Eastern area of unincorporated Sacramento County is the Fair Oaks Community Planning Council. This planning council, also referred to as a Community Council, serves as the decision-making body over local land-use issues previously decided by the Planning Commission, Zoning Administrator and the Subdivision Review Committee.
