Located within the North Area of unincorporated Sacramento County is the Rio Linda/Elverta Community Planning Council. This Planning Council, also referred to as a community council, serves as the decision-making body over local land-use issues previously decided by the Planning Commission, Zoning Administrator and the Subdivision Review Committee.
