Code Enforcement Home Page
The Code Enforcement Division enforces housing, zoning and vehicle abatement laws. Our goal is to maintain and improve property values and the quality of life for residents, visitors and business owners.
We work to achieve voluntary compliance with the codes through notification and education. When this cannot be achieved, we utilize various legal procedures including boarding structures, removing junk and rubbish, abatement of junk vehicles, civil citations, criminal citations and demolition of dangerous buildings.
Together, we can preserve the quality of life we all expect! |

| Know Your Code: About Election Signs |
If you are interested in showing your support for a political issue or candidate in the coming election, the Zoning Code allows temporary election signs in the interest of protecting free speech. Political signs are permissible but must be removed within 10 days after the election, are set back five feet or more from side property lines and 10 feet from the public right-of-way. |
