Meter Installation Project: Southwest Tract, Hood and Walnut Grove
The Water Agency has been awarded stimulus funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) and through the California Safe Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to install water meters in Southwest Tract, Hood and Walnut Grove. This stimulus funding is specifically dedicated for water infrstructure projects and these communities have been selected because it best meets the project criteria set forth in the ARRA.
This project was submitted and approved by the Water Agency Board of Directors on August 25. The meter installation project is tentatively scheduled to begin in late November and is expected to be completed in March, 2010.
A project letter and meter installation fact sheet has been sent to property owners and residents in all three communities with more information about the project.
