Gibson Ranch, located in the north area of the County, has a rich history. Before Regional Parks bought the 345 acre park, it was a working horse ranch. Visiting this park is like stepping back in time and is a great place to explore Sacramento County's rural heritage. View information about park facilities and directions.

River Bend Park, located near the City of Rancho Cordova along the scenic American River Parkway, one one of the County's oldest parks. It covers almost 444 acres of pristine parkway habitat, and is a great place for campers to view many of the wild turkeys, deer and other wildlife that live within this park. With their own distinct environments, fabulous scenery and close proximity to Sacramento, these camping sites are an excellent opportunity for your group to do something different this year and camp out in the middle of Sacramento!
