Native Plant Landscaping

Lupines and poppies in bloom at the Effie Yeaw Nature Center

Effie Yeaw logoThe Nature Center is landscaped with native plants that are identified by name plaques. Some plaques contain information about traditional uses for the plants, their value to wildlife and a description of their flowers or fruit. There is always something new to see as the seasons change.

Our unique and popular butterfly garden contains native plants that are especially attractive to nectar feeders, including butterflies, bees and hummingbirds.
