NEW! The Effie Yeaw Nature Center's annual Nature Bowl contest from 3rd-6th grade youth has registration open for the coaches' orientation workshop. Parents, teachers and youth club leaders are welcome to attend this free workshop on Thursday, January 15th, 4 - 5:30 p.m. There is a $5 fee for materials. Teams may register for the March 12th 2009 contest semi-finals.There is a $10 fee per team.
The Nature Bowl, in its 25th year, is a natural science contest that integrates conservation and environmental issues in an innovative approach. Nature Bowl activities can easily be used for the entire classroom or club; however, only seven members are allowed on a team for the semi-finals.

Join these fun and educational events! Teams of 3rd to 6th grade students (coached by teachers, parents or principals) answer questions and participate in activities focusing on regional environmental and science issues. Great for the children and the coaches.
