Custom In-Service:

Let us design a custom in-service for your school, district or group. Possible environmental educator workshops include Project Wild and Aquatics, Project Learning Tree and Project WET. Call the Effie Yeaw Nature Center for more information.

Dipping Into Creeks (K-8):

Explore aquatic ecology in this hands-on workshop. Participants receive the updated "Dipping Into Creeks" Curriculum full of suggestions for observing and recording creek life, activities for classroom stations, tips for simple equipment you can make, and more!

Living Maidu: A Effie Yeaw instructor shows children about cultural items at the Center

This workshop explores the traditional lifestyle of the Nisenan Maidu Indians. Learn about the cultural history of the people, native land management techniques, storytelling, ethnobotany walk and acorn preparation and cooking.
