Pathways to Recreation, Inc., was formed in 2004 with the purpose of developing and cultivating a wider public awareness of the need for recreation and leisure services for people with disabilities.
By providing financial, volunteer and educational support to Sacramento County Therapeutic Recreation Services (TRS), Pathways to Recreation, Inc. will enable TRS to provide quality therapeutic recreation programs; expand services to people with disabilities; and stay abreast of changes in the field of therapeutic recreation through continuing educational opportunities.
Pathways to Recreation, Inc., will accomplish these goals by:

Assisting TRS in generating revenue and providing financial assistance to program participants.

Recruiting volunteers for TRS to help make the TRS programs possible.

Increase marketing strategies to emphasize the importance of recreation and leisure for people with disabilities.
Mission Statement - Pathways to Recreation, Inc., (Pathways) mission is to enable people with disabilities and special needs opportunities for recreational, social and educational activities through the County of Sacramento Therapeutic Recreation Services.
