North Watt Corridor Plan

Project Description:
As part of an overarching countywide program aimed at implementing the General Plan, the North Watt Avenue Corridor Plan (NWACP) was initiated to provide for a comprehensive planning strategy promoting high-quality infill growth, transportation choices, and infrastructure improvements for the North Watt corridor area.  The NWACP establishes a policy framework to guide the transition of the North Watt corridor area from an auto-oriented commercial district serving a former military base to a series of urban villages integrated within the North Highlands community.

Project Location/Boundary:
The North Watt Avenue Corridor is located along Watt Avenue from Interstate-80 on the south end to Antelope Road/U Street on the north end.  The Corridor Plan consists of approximately 720 acres distributed along a 4-mile stretch of Watt Avenue located within the North Highlands community of the unincorporated Sacramento County.
