Due to a high volume of planning requests, and budget reductions to Planning, responses to voicemails and emails may take several business days.

Services Provided by other Departments:
- Department of Environmental Review and Assessment (DERA) Implements the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act as they apply to Sacramento County. Prepares and processes environmental documents for County initiated projects and the private sector projects within the County that require public agency approval, including land development applications.
- Code Enforcement Division - enforces housing, zoning and vehicle abatement laws and is the primary enforcement division for Sacramento County's zoning code in the unincorporated area, including building development standards, signage and more.
- Building Inspection Division - issues building permits and provides plan review and field inspection services for all private building projects within the unincorporated area.

CHANGES IN APPLICATION FEES
Starting on September 23, 2010 planning application fee recovery will be on a Time and Material basis. When submitting an application, you will be provided a cost estimate. Existing fees will be a deposit, and invoicing will occur if project costs exceed the deposit. |

NEW PLANNING RESEARCH FEES
Starting on September 23, 2010 a Planning Review Fee will be charged for public information requests that take over 15 minutes. A fee of $150.00 will be charged for the first hour of extra research and substantial compliance requests. Thank you for your cooperation. | |
