Representatives from the Department of Waste Management and Recycling have met with interested individuals and organizations to gather ideas and opinions that will influence the buffer lands planning process. Interviews with a wide variety of neighbors and other interested stakeholders have been conducted.
Two public workshops were conducted in the fall of 2007 to provide additional opportunities for the public to provide input into the LUFA process. The input obtained at those meetings is taken into consideration as the LUFA analysis continues.
A Draft LUFA Report was made available in February 2008 and the County Board of Supervisors will consider this report and public comment.
