|
About Composting: Composting is a natural process by which organic materials decompose. The resulting product, called compost, can be mixed with potting soil as a soil amendment, and can be used to improve the health of your soil, aid in erosion control and help control soil fertility.
Why Should I Compost?: Not only will you be taking advantage of the free waste to help improve your soil, you will help divert tons of plant debris and food scraps from taking up valuable landfill space.
How To Make Compost: It general, it takes from three to six months to create a single batch of compost. While there is no single “correct” method , there are variations and all are based on the scientific composting principle of aerobic decomposition.
