How do I find out what is my service day? (garbage collection)

1. Enter your home address into the e-map it program.

2. After you enter your address number and street name, click on the Submit button

3. Scroll down the page and on the right you will see the information to the right, under the TRASH PICKUP heading. IT is the third item down.

4. Your service day is the day that appears in the mapping software. In this example, Friday is the service day.

5. Your service day is the day your cans will be picked up. Your cans MUST be out not later than 6 a.m. on your service day. For example, if your service day is Friday, your cans must be to the curb before 6 a.m. Friday morning.

If the program cannot locate your address, please e-mail customer service at utilities@saccounty.net or call 916-875-5555 to get your service day.

How to download a copy of your 2009 Service Calendar

1. Enter your home address into the e-map it program.

2. After you enter your address number and street name, click on the Submit button

3. The third item down is Trash Pickup. Within this box is your Service Day, your refuse area and a link to your service calendar.

4. Click on Download 2009 Service Calendar - effective 1/12/2009. (This file is an Adobe file. If you can't download the file, click on the left column icon that says "Get Adobe Reader" on this page and download a copy of the Adobe reader)

If the program cannot locate your address, or if you can't download a copy of your calendar, please e-mail customer service at utilities@saccounty.net and one will be mailed to you.

2009 Service Calendars - You May have a new service day! (garbage collection)

In an effort to serve our customers even more efficiently and keep your rates among the lowest in our region, a majority of our customers will have a new collection service day in 2009.

Again, this change in service will make our collection activities more efficient. It will help to ensure that we:
1. Keep rates as low as possible
2. Continue our high level of collection service
3. Minimize the number of our trucks on the streets, saving resources, reducing traffic congestion and lessening our impact on the enviornment.
