Unwanted Medicines 

 

County residents have several options to dispose of their unwanted/unused medications.  They may be:

  • taken to the County’s North Area Recovery Station and dropped off at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility, or
  • disposed of in the resident’s garbage can, or
  • taken to a nearby CVS pharmacy (see note on CVS program below).

CVS pharmacy announced that all 7,200 of its locations now offer the Sharps Compliance Inc. medication disposal system, which allows customers to dispose unused or expired medication. Read more...
